Main ingredients & effects
SingJoint® is intended for single intra-articular injection. The product is a unique linear macromolecular mucopolysaccharide consisting of repeating disaccharide units of glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine. Its chemical formula is (C14H21NO11)n.
SingJoint® is non-animal-derived and offers the advantages of high viscoelasticity, lubricity, physical variability, and good biocompatibility. It is a medical-grade polymer derived from streptococci using high-tech biotechnology.
It is sterile and free from pyrogenicity, allergens, genetic toxicity, or skin irritation. Thanks to the fermentation of hyaluronic acid, there is no risk of the product transmitting viruses or spreading during the harvesting of animal tissues or organs.
Applications
SingJoint® can be used as an orthopedic agent to improve joint function. When injected into joint cavities, its macromolecular properties and good viscoelasticity stimulate the synovial membrane to produce high-molecular-weight sodium hyaluronate. This contributes to the relief of joint pain, improvement of mobility, reduction of synovitis, and delay of disease progression.
SingJoint® is suitable for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis symptoms. By replacing and replenishing the pathological synovial fluid in osteoarthritic joints, it relieves pain and improves joint function.
Singjoint® Instructions for the doctor
1. Since SingJoint® is administered as an intra-articular injection, it should only be administered by trained physicians.
2. The injection must be performed aseptically.
3. If joint effusion is present, it should be aspirated prior to injection. The dosage schedule calls for a single injection into the affected joint space.
4. Dispose of the syringe and needle after a single use.
The dosage schedule calls for weekly injections into the affected joint space, with a total of three to four injections.
Singjoint® Possible side effects
Mild, transient local pain, swelling, arthralgia, and joint stiffness at the injection site have been reported following intra-articular injections. These symptoms are generally mild and transient. They typically resolve within 2 to 7 days without medical intervention. If symptoms persist, please consult your treating physician.
Singjoint® Precautions
1. Strict aseptic technique must be followed to avoid cross-infection.
2. The pre-filled syringe is for single use. The contents of the syringe must be used immediately after opening the package. Any unused SingJoint® must be discarded. Reuse may cause infectious diseases.
3. Do not use if the blister pack is damaged or if the pre-filled syringe is cracked or broken.
4. Do not inject SingJoint® into a vessel.
5. Do not inject SingJoint® outside the joint cavity or into the synovial tissue or joint capsule.
6. If a joint infection exists, it should be treated before injecting SingJoint®.
7. Do not use disinfectants containing quaternary ammonium salts for skin preparation at the same time, as sodium hyaluronate may settle upon contact with this ingredient.
Singjoint® Contraindications
1. SingJoint® is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity (allergy) to SingJoint® or other sodium hyaluronate preparations.
2. SingJoint® is contraindicated in patients with skin diseases or infections at the injection site.
3. SingJoint® is contraindicated in patients with acute and chronic pyogenic arthritis, synovial and joint tuberculosis, hemorrhagic diseases, and hemophilia.
